Hafnarfjörður’s vegetable gardens are open to all residents of Hafnarfjörður for a small fee. The vegetable gardens are located at Öldutún and Víðistaðir and are available from the end of May. Applications have now been opened.

What kind of vegetables do you want to grow this summer?

The cost for a garden is kept to a minimum. The fee is ISK 1,850 for a traditional garden and ISK 6,000 for a raised vegetable box. Vegetables and other materials are not included in the price, but access to water and smaller tools will be provided. The gardens are delivered ploughed and distribution begins at the end of May.

Registration started yesterday, April the 30th through Vala. Please note that the municipality and location of the vegetable garden must be selected (family garden Öldutún/family garden Víðistaðir).
