Now that the days are getting shorter, it is necessary to remind people of the importance of having reflective elements on clothing and good lighting on all vehicles. The health town of Hafnarfjörður has now given all 6-year-old children a reflecting keychain as a gift.

With this autumnal gift to all six-year-old children, the municipality of Hafnarfjörður would like to remind people of the importance of reflectivity and visibility in traffic and contribute to increasing the safety of children at the beginning of their primary schooling. Parents and guardians of all children and young people are encouraged to ensure the use of reflectors and at the same time to take care of their own reflectivity and visibility. It is best to have reflectors on the front of the sleeves, hanging along the sides, on shoes or at the bottom of trousers. Reflectors on clothes and lights on wheels increase safety and visibility and are very important in the dark and icy conditions that arise during the winter months. The more reflectivity, the better.
