Workshop for creative children at the Innovation Center

New Experimental Project at the Innovation Center

Creative children aged 9–12 now have the opportunity to take part in an experimental project at the Innovation Center. They will learn to use their sketchbooks as a playground for imagination, experiments, and discoveries in a new workshop starting Thursday, September 25th, 2025.

Opportunity to Learn and Make Mistakes

Participants will be guided through a variety of exercises using different media and creative thinking methods. The workshop will also focus on creating a safe space where children can experiment, make mistakes, explore new approaches, and enjoy playing with ideas.

The workshop runs until December 5th or 12th, depending on the group and schedule. Classes take place on Thursdays from 16:00–18:00 p.m. at the Innovation Center in Hafnarfjörður. The cost of the workshop is 18,000 ISK. All materials, including a sketchbook, are included in the price.

Great for Developing Independent and Creative Expression

The instructors are Fannar Már Skarphéðinsson and Linn Janssen, both experienced illustrators and mentors with a strong passion for creative work with children.
