The Maintenance and Construction Department handles a variety of services and projects for the town, institutions and residents. There are many tasks, often seasonal, among other maintenance, repairs and supervision of various things belonging to the road network, walking paths, open areas and public playgrounds.

Examples of tasks:

• Snow clearing and ice prevention
• Street sweeping
• Bus shelters and public benches.
• Waste bins.
• Changing light bulbs in street lights.
• Cleaning of graffiti.
• Maintenance and tending of greenery.
• Mowing and turfing.
• Paving.
• Various projects for sewage and water works.
• Maintenance and construction of wood work.
• Vermin, dead and injured animals.
• Christmas decorations.
• Maintenance and supervision of the town’s technical equipment.
• Advice and consultancy to the town’s residents.
