The Library

Bókasafn Hafnarfjarðar offers a wide range of services and different types of facilities for reading and holding meetings or seminars. Hafnarfjörður Library also has a podcast studio and Internet café with access to a printer, wireless connection, and photocopying.

  • You can return your borrowed items from libraries in Hafnarfjörður, Garðabær, Kópavogur, and Álftanes to any one of these libraries.
  • Items borrowed in Borgarbókasafn or libraries in Mosfellsbær and Seltjarnarnes need to be returned to the respective library.
