Hafnarfjörður’s vegetable gardens are available to all residents, both families and individuals, for a small fee. You need to bring your own vegetables and other materials for cultivation, but you get access to water and smaller tools.
The vegetable gardens are located in Öldutún and Víðistaðir. You choose a lot and pay through the vegetable garden website. The gardens are delivered ploughed, and allocation begins at the end of May each year.
