Survey for the Christmas Village Workshop

How did you experience the Christmas Village? How can we make it better? We are seeking your opinion and have launched a short online survey that gives us the opportunity to shape the village even better for you.

The Hafnarfjörður Christmas Village has been an annual event since 2003. It is a project that we, the people of Hafnarfjörður, can be very proud of. “Over the years, the Christmas Village has grown and flourished, establishing a firm place among residents. It has had a positive impact on the town and local businesses. Residents and visitors of all ages have enjoyed the Advent season in a unique way,” says Sunna Magnúsdóttir, project manager for culture and tourism.

“There has consistently been a diverse cultural program and events linked to our cherished Christmas traditions, with strong emphasis on creating a space and atmosphere where everyone can enjoy themselves and find something that suits them.”

Work is now beginning to review the setting, events and ways to further strengthen what the Christmas Village has to offer.

“We want to build on strong foundations and ensure that residents and visitors of all ages enjoy spending time together in the lead-up to Christmas. We want to continue making the Christmas Village an enjoyable event that we can all be proud of. We are looking toward the coming years, considering how to refine and strengthen the village so that it continues far into the future,” she says.
