Festive program in the heart of Hafnarfjörður for the Christmas Village opening night!

The Christmas Village in Hafnarfjörður will open with a festive program at Thorsplan on Friday, November 14th, when the lights on the Cuxhaven Christmas tree are switched on. The German Ambassador, the Mayor of Hafnarfjörður, and the Chair of the Hafnarfjörður-Cuxhaven friendship association will light the tree. The Christmas tree is a gift from Cuxhaven, Hafnarfjörður’s friendship town in Germany for 37 years, and it will illuminate the Christmas Village throughout Advent.

The Christmas Village at Thorsplan in Hafnarfjörður will be open every weekend from 14 November:

• Fridays 17:00–20:00
• Saturdays 13:00–20:00
• Sundays 13:00–18:00

The café in Hellisgerði will be open during Christmas Village hours until 20:00 each evening. Special attention is drawn to Hjartasvellið and the amusement area at Venusarhúsið, Strandgata 11, which will also be open every weekend until Christmas.
