Sorpa awaits you and your used packaging

The main discount days for this Christmas season are over– Singles’ Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Now parcels are pouring into our homes. Indeed, it’s fun to open packages. Then you have to take care of the packaging!

This biggest shopping season of the year comes with a lot of packaging and trash. It fills the bins around homes quickly. Sorpa therefore asks you to show general consideration, especially in apartment buildings. We are encouraged to take advantage of the great services Sorpa offers.

There are about 90 local stations in the capital area. Eight are here in Hafnarfjörður. Three of them take the cardboard.

Sorpa points out that its local sorting stations are divided into small and large debris containers. The smaller ones accept glass, metal packaging, bottles and cans. Larger containers accept paper, cardboard and plastic packaging. These stations are designed so that residents can get rid of their waste, which increases dramatically during the holidays.

“If you have large packaging and even more categories to sort into, we kindly welcome you to our larger SORPA recycling centres,” say the staff of Sorpa.
