Service center closed as of June 5

The announced strike will last until July 5 if not negotiated

Hafnarfjarðarbær’s service center at Strandgata 6 is closed from midnight on the night of Monday, June 5, up to and including 23:59 Wednesday 5 July 2023, if not negotiated during the period. Closures also include the customer service’s telephone answering service, online chat on the town’s website and responses via email and social media.

Special attention is drawn to the fact that contact information for the municipality’s staff can be found on the municipality’s website.

Do you have an interview booked?  

The lobby of Hafnarfjörður Town Hall is open and guests who have booked an interview or meeting in the building can register their arrival via the reception screen. Special attention is drawn to the fact that drawings can not be delivered in the customer service during the strike. In case of emergency, letters or smaller documents can be placed in a box in the lobby, but residents and others are encouraged to use other delivery methods. Hafnarfjörður town’s suggestion portal is open, but the strike will affect the response and processing of suggestions.  The Maintenance and Construction Department at Norðurhella will continue to respond to suggestions regarding their projects and areas of work.
