Did you know that here in Hafnarfjörður we have five cultural bridge builders? What is that? Well, we bridge the gap between cultures. We help new residents find their way, understand the culture and become part of our wonderful community.” Write the cultural bridge builders of Hafnarfjörður in the newspaper Fjarðarfréttir, Bjarki Rafn Andrésson, Anna Sigríður Sveinbjörnsdóttir and Hemn Hussein bridge builders in the primary schools, and Elisabeth López Arriaga and Rima Alhakeem in the preschools.

There we will assist foreign parents with enrolling their children in summer courses and the work school (Vinnuskólinn).
