The staff is the most valuable resource

For eight years, the town of Hafnarfjörður has recognized and appreciated all those who have worked for the town for 25 years and 15 years, for their professional contributions and work on behalf of the town. Recognitions for 15 years of service is awarded at each workplace, but those celebrating 25 years of service in the municipality are invited to a celebration in Hafnarborg. This year, 18 employees received 25 years of seniority recognition, bringing the combined length of service of this fantastic group to around 450 years. These years have been spent with enthusiasm, professionalism and knowledge in the town’s many diverse jobs and operating units. The recognition ceremony has become an annual tradition and an indispensable part of the harvest of success in the town’s staff group.

Sigurður Nordal, Director of Administration and Deputy Mayor, thanked the group for a job well done and everyone’s loyalty to the town of Hafnarfjörður, on behalf of the Mayor, residents, colleagues and the Town Council. Sigurður conveyed a special speech to each and every one of the professionals, put together by the management and colleagues at each establishment, for the occasion.
